Built for the Furniture Industry—By People Who Know It Best
Why Furnishstack?
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did you start FurnishStack?
After decades working in the home furnishings industry, I reached a moment where I wanted to be more intentional about how — and why — I work.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most respected retailers, manufacturers, and industry organizations in our space. I’ve shared the stage with Google and Facebook, presented many times at Home Furnishings Association events, and spoken at leadership summits and annual and regional meetings for companies like La-Z-Boy and Ashley Furniture.
Those experiences gave me a rare perspective — not just into new technology, but into how retailers and manufacturers actually operate day to day.
And what I kept seeing was this:
Most businesses don’t need more technology.
They need better decisions.
I watched successful retailers grow not because they chased every new tool, but because they slowed down, asked the right questions, and chose technology that fit their people, their process, and their customers.
I also saw the opposite — businesses overwhelmed by vendor noise, disconnected systems, and costly implementations that looked great in a demo but didn’t work in the real world.
That’s why I created FurnishStack.
FurnishStack is different kind of advisory. Explain why?
FurnishStack isn’t a software company, and it isn’t an agency pushing a one-size-fits-all solution.
It’s a lifestyle-driven advisory business built on independence, objectivity, and experience.
My role is to help retailers and manufacturers:
• Step back and evaluate their current technology landscape
• Identify what’s working, what isn’t, and what’s missing
• Understand how different systems should connect and support each other
• Make confident, informed decisions — before signing contracts or starting implementations
I’ve also spent years working directly with buying groups and their members, including hands-on education and support with Nationwide Marketing Group and BrandSource/AVB Digital. Those experiences reinforced the importance of education, trust, and long-term thinking over short-term fixes.
You say FurnishStack is focused? Practical. Human?
At this stage of my career, scale matters less than impact.
FurnishStack allows me to work closely with a limited number of retailers and manufacturers, go deeper into their challenges, and offer guidance grounded in real-world experience — not theory or hype.
Every engagement starts with listening:
• How do you sell today?
• How do your teams actually work?
• Where are customers getting stuck?
• What decisions will matter most over the next 3–5 years?
From there, we build clarity — not complexity.
The furniture business is changing. How can you help?
The home furnishings industry is changing fast. AI, digital marketing, product visualization, logistics, and data are no longer optional — but choosing the wrong path can be expensive and distracting.
FurnishStack exists to be a steady, experienced voice in the middle of that change.
I’ve been fortunate to help many successful businesses along the way. FurnishStack is my way of taking what I’ve learned and paying it forward — helping retailers and manufacturers build smarter, more connected operations without losing what makes their businesses special.
If you’re looking for clarity, confidence, and a trusted advisor who understands this industry from the inside out, that’s why FurnishStack exists.
